Fruit Cake Cookies Recipe

This is a very good cookie, not cheap to make but worth the time and effort!

Ingredients

1 lb. crystallized pineapple
1 lb. red and green candied cherries
1 lb. dates pitted
1 lb. golden raisins
6 C. nuts chopped
1/4 lb. butter or oleo
1 1/2 C. brown sugar
4 lg eggs
3 1/2 C. sifted all-purpose flour
3 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1 C. whiskey (bourbon)

Directions

Mix 1/2 C. flour with fruit and nuts. Mix rest of flour and spices. Cream butter and sugar, add spiced flour and eggs and mix well. Add fruit and nut mixture. Add whiskey.

Drop by cookie scoop or teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool. Store in Ziploc bags or containers.
