Jello Cookies Recipe

There may always be room for Jell-O, but here’s a more exciting way to use it than those boring old jell-o molds! All the kids love them, and the colors are fun.

Ingredients

1/2 C. sugar
1/2 C. shortening
1/4 C. butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 pkg. (3 oz.) any flavor of Jell-O powder
2 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

Mix sugar, shortening, margarine, vanilla, eggs and Jell-O (dry). Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Shape into 3/4-inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 400 degree oven for 6 to 8 minutes.
