Duff’s Black and White Cookies Recipe

This black and white cookie recipe makes the elegant and classic cookie very simple!

Ingredients

1 Tbs. dry yeast
1 C. milk
1/2 lb.(2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 3/4 C. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. lemon extract
2 1/2 C. cake flour
2 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Vegetable cooking spray (not flavored)

Ganaches:
2 1/2 C. heavy cream (divided in half for each ganache)
1 lb. good dark chocolate, chopped
1 lb. good white chocolate, chopped

Directions

For the cookies:
Add dry yeast to warm or room-temperature milk, let stand for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream the butter and the sugar until light and fluffy.Slowly add and combine the yeast mixture, and the extracts.

Fudge Cookies Recipe

No baking required. My sons still request this recipe (or have their wives request it!) They are easy, good, and satisfying for chocolate and peanut lovers.

Ingredients

1/2 C. milk
1 stick butter
1/3 C. cocoa
2 C. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. chunky peanut butter
3 C. oatmeal
1 C. coconut
1/2 C. dry roasted peanuts (if I have some around)

Directions

Put milk, butter,vanilla and cocoa in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, until butter is melted and mixture comes to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Quickly add peanut butter, oatmeal, coconut and peanuts. Mix together thoroughly. With teaspoon, portion out on waxed paper. Let cool and harden.

Cookie Dough Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

Cookie Layer:
1 pkg. brownie mix
1/2 C. chocolate chips

Filling:
1/2 C. margarine, softened
1/2 C. brown sugar
1/4 C. sugar
2 Tbs. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 C. flour

Topping:
1 C. chocolate chips
1 Tbs. oil

Directions

Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and add 1/2 C. chocolate chips to batter. Pour into a 9×13 pan and cook according to package instructions. When done, let cool on a cooling rack. Beat margarine and both sugars in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add milk, vanilla and flour and mix thoroughly. Set aside.

White Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

6 oz imported white chocolate, cut up
3/4 C. sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 C. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
6 oz. semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, cut up
1/2 C. chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a 2-quart glass bowl, combine white chocolate pieces, sugar, and butter. Heat in microwave oven on high about 1 1/2 minutes, or until melted and smooth when stirred. With a whisk or fork, beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Add flour, baking powder, and salt and stir until well mixed. Stir in bittersweet chocolate and walnuts. Spread evenly in a buttered, foil lined 7×11 inch baking pan. Bake 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Do not over-bake. Let cool, then cut into 24 pieces.

Caramel Brownies Recipe

This classic recipe is easy to make and adds that sticky sweetness to every bite.

Ingredients

1 pkg. Kraft caramels
1 small can Carnation milk
1 box German chocolate cake mix
3/4 C. margarine, melted
1 C. chopped nuts (or more is desired)
1 pkg. chocolate chips.

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Unwrap caramels and place in double boiler and melt with 1/4 can of Carnation milk; set aside. Mix cake with melted margarine, rest of Carnation milk, and nuts. Place half of this dough in the bottom of a 13×9x2 glass pan and bake for 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly on top of the cooked dough. Then, pour caramel mixture over the top. Place the rest of the dough on top in pieces. Bake for 20 minutes more. Cook and place in refrigerator to set caramel.
