Forgotten Kiss Cookies Recipe

These are one of my favorite cookies that I love to make during Valentine’s Day and Christmas. I love to give these out as gifts.

Ingredients
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 C. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Red, green, yellow food coloring
1-1/2 C. chocolate chips, chocolate mint chips or nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat egg whites until frothy. Add salt and cream of tartar, beating until stiff. Add sugar slowly, beating all the time. Beat until mixture is glossy. Add vanilla and mix. Divide mixture into 3 parts. Tint each with one of the colors. Fold into each part a half C. of the chips or the nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased cookie sheet and place in oven.
