Under Distinctly Christmas Cookies+ Fruity Cookies
These sweet cookies are frosted with a sticky frosting for the ultimate dessert. A great cookie for people who don’t like chocolate (apparently they exist).

Ingredients
2 C. sugar
1/2 C. Crisco Shortening
2 eggs
1 C. sour cream
1/2 C. Smucker’s Sweet Orange Marmalade
4 C. Pillsbury Best All-Purpose or Unbleached Flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Frosting:
3 C. powdered sugar
1/2 C. butter or margarine (at room temperature)
1/4 C. Smucker’s Sweet Orange Marmalade orange juice (to thin frosting if necessary)

Under Candy Cookies+ Distinctly Christmas Cookies+ Nutty Cookies
A quick and easy way to make cookies that everyone will love!

Ingredients
1 18.25-oz. box yellow cake mix
3 eggs
6 Tbs. vegetable oil
1 C. chopped pecans
1 14-oz. bag orange slice candy chopped
Directions
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Mix cake mix, eggs, and oil. Mix well, when mixed add pecans and orange slices. Mix together, on a greased cookie sheet, drop by the teaspoonful 2 inches apart on sheet. Bake in hot oven for 10 minutes. Let cookies cool on wax paper before plating them.

Everyone I have served these to has loved them so here is the recipe. Make sure to plump the cranberries. As oatmeal cookies go, these should turn out a little fluffy. These are great for breakfast or a snack. The ginger and cinnamon will warm you up a bit too. Enjoy!

Ingredients
3 lg. eggs (4 regular eggs)
3 sticks butter, unsalted, softened
3/4 C. packed dark brown sugar
3/4 C. sugar
1 Tbs. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. ginger powder or 1 tsp. fresh ginger
1 rounded tsp. salt
Zest of 1 orange
1 fully peeled chopped orange, use the zested one, just pare away the white pith first.
Juice of 1 orange + 1/2 C. water or cranberry juice
1 1/2 C. dried cranberries, plumped in hot water or cranberry juice for 20 minutes
2 Tbs. + 1 tsp. baking powder
2 C. flour
1 C. whole wheat flour
1 1/2 C. quick oats
1 1/2 C. chopped toasted Walnuts or Pecans

A creamy orange gelatin mixture is spread on a graham cracker crust for a heavenly dessert great for diabetics.

Ingredients
1 tsp. unflavored gelatin
1/4 C. frozen concentrated orange juice
2 Tbs. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 C. nonfat dry milk powder
1/2 C. cold water
1 Tbs. lemon juice
24 graham crackers
Directions
Chill a small mixing bowl and beaters. In the top section of a double boiler, soften gelatin in the melted concentrated orange juice. Place over hot water, and stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and vanilla. Using cold beaters, beat dry milk and water until soft peaks form. Add the lemon juice and beat until stiff. Fold in orange juice mixture. Spread on 12 graham crackers. Top with the remaining crackers. Wrap individually; freeze until firm about 2 hours.
