Under Nutty Cookies
Whole peanuts and cocoa powder jazz up traditional peanut butter cookies.

Ingredients
1 stick (1/2 C.) butter or margarine (not spread), at room temperature
2/3 C. granulated sugar
¼ C. smooth peanut butter
1 large egg
2 Tbs. unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
2 C. all purpose flour
½ C. unsalted peanuts, coarsely chopped

Ingredients
1 C. butter, softened
1 C. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 C. honey roasted peanuts

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, then stir in peanuts. Shape dough into balls; place 2 inches apart on a baking sheet then dip the bottom of a glass in sugar and flatten each ball to 1/4-inch thickness. Bake for 8 minutes, or until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheet briefly, then move to wire racks.
