Under Chocolate Cookies+ Distinctly Christmas Cookies+ Nutty Cookies
Macadamia nuts add a distinctly adult flavor to these classic cookies.

Ingredients
1 pkg. white cake mix
1 C. all-purpose flour
1 C. quick-cooking oats
1/2 C. butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 C. coarsely chopped macadamia nuts
1 1/2 C. semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips
Directions
In a large bowl, combine cake mix, flour, oats, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Beat on low speed for 1 minute or just until smooth. Stir in nuts and chocolate chunks. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto prepared sheets. Bake 10-15 minutes or until light golden. Cool 1 minute on wire racks or until firm on baking sheets then remove to racks and cool completely.

1 C. granulated sugar
8 Tbs. (1 stick) Blue Bonnet® spread
1 C. LIBBY’S® 100% Pure Pumpkin
2 egg whites or 1 egg
1 tsp. grated orange peel
2 C. Quaker® Oats, quick or old fashioned, uncooked
1 C. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice or ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. finely chopped, pitted prunes
1/4 C. finely chopped walnuts
Glaze:
1/2 C. powdered sugar
1 Tbs. orange juice

Ingredients
1/2 C. butter, softened
1 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
15 oz. 100% pure pumpkin
2 1/2 C. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 C. white chocolate morsels
1/2 C. chopped macadamia nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in vanilla, egg and pumpkin. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and macadamia nuts. Drop by rounded tsp. onto cookie sheets. Bake for 12 minutes.

I have been making these for family and friends for over 50 years. Found this recipe when I was a teenager and started making them my way …into little watermelon slices. This is one of my family’s favorites. And when you put them on a tray with other cookies…these really get noticed.

Ingredients
1 C. butter
1/2 C. sugar
2 1/2 C. flour
2 tsp. almond extract
1 oz. semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels
Red and green decorating gel
Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add in almond extract mixing well. Add flour a little at a time, adding the rest of the flour and mixing with your hands to make a soft dough. Roll into ball and cut off a third of the dough and color green and put aside.

Ingredients
1 C. butter, softened
1 C. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 C. honey roasted peanuts
Sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla, beating well. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to butter mixture, then stir in peanuts. Shape dough into balls; place 2 inches apart on a baking sheet then dip the bottom of a glass in sugar and flatten each ball to 1/4-inch thickness. Bake for 8 minutes, or until edges are golden. Cool on baking sheet briefly, then move to wire racks.

Ingredients
1 1/2 C. Honey Maid Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/3 C. butter or margarine, melted
3 8 oz. pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
3/4 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 C. mashed ripe bananas
1 C. halved strawberries
1 banana, sliced, tossed with 1 tsp. lemon juice
1 8 oz. can pineapple chunks, drained
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix graham crumbs and butter press firmly onto bottom of 13×9-inch baking pan. Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Stir in mashed bananas. Pour over crust.

Ingredients
2/3 C. butter, softened
3/4 C. powdered sugar
3 Tbs. cocoa powder
1 Tbs. milk or water
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 C. oatmeal
1/2-3/4 C. powdered sugar for coating
Directions
Blend butter and sugar. Blend cocoa, water and vanilla. Add cocoa mixture to butter mixture and blend thoroughly. Add oatmeal and blend with hands. Form into ball, 3/4 inch in diameter. Chill mixture as necessary to make shaping easier. Place additional powdered sugar in bowl. Drop balls into sugar. Roll to coat. Place on plate; refrigerate until firm, about one hour.
Yield: 36 balls
